Default No D-Tools in Visio

This has just recently happened.

The D-Tools menu has disappeared. I've uninstalled and re-installed SI5 without any luck in fixing it.

Setting the macros security level to low has no effect. An old D-Tools security certificate is listed under the trusted publishers in Visio.

This was working only a couple weeks ago.

Any ideas?

Hi James,

Here's info from a previous post - I see you've done most of these things, but maybe one of these steps will be helpful:

Sometimes, even when you do a complete install, there are issues with the Visio integration side of it... I actually had to go back and do a re-install, use the "Custom" option, and manually make sure that the Visio components were installing.

And also, there are some permissions that Visio needs to contain, but that should be pretty straight-forward the first time you open a Visio project...

And, last but not least, disable your anti-virus. I know that sounds crazy, but some anti-virus software actually disables the ability for programs to interact correctly.

Thanks Heather:

It seems 7 out of the 9 machines in the office are displaying this problem. This has started some time in the last two months. I guess I've only noticed now since my laptop has just gone in for repair.

I suspect that it may be a windows update issue. The only common thread I can find is that the two machines that are working never had a particular .net 2.0 security update installed. Though this was an old update, I know that any .net updates on my laptop thoroughly and completely bust D-Tools.

Anyway, I've installed all the current updates on the working machines one at a time, they're still working. I've uninstalled all the windows updates from the last few months then reinstalled D-Tools, still not working.

I guess at this point it's up to the tech support crew.

Oh, and by the way, disabling the Anti-virus software didn't help either.
