Default Why AutoCAD and not AutoCAD LT?

Hi all

Can anyone explain why it is necessary that SI5 only supports AutoCAD and not the more economical AutoCAD LT. I am about to invest in AutoCAD but not sure I can stretch to the full version. AutoCAD LT seems to be more than capable of handling any type of drawing a SI would need to complete.

Are there any alternatives?

J

AutoCAD LT doesn't support customization. To lower the costs they removed 3D tools and the API's which D-Tools needs to interact with the program.

Yes, but you have to sail to Sweden to find them.

Would love the excuse to go but not sure it's justified...unfortunately. Tell me more though?
