I have purchased Autocad 2008 Mechanical which can also run as Autocad 2008, and I can't figure out how to install the tools into Autocad. What am I missing?
Vic - Mechanical and Architectural only add additional libraries - the program itself is no different - so I don't see what D-Tools wouldn't work just fine out of the box ... FYI.
If you have AutoCAD 2008 Standard, then do as NareshN says:
“If you have installed AutoCAD 2008 after installing SI 5.1 then you need to reinstall Si 5.1.
SI5.1 should detect AutoCAD 2008 and make the needed registry entries to load into AutoCAD 2008.”
NareshN Does SI 5.1 work with AutoCad 2008
While I understand you only supporting 2009 standard I really need mechanical for designing products that we will hopefully manufacturing. As stated earlier this only adds libraries for us to reference. Any information on getting this installed would be great. Even if it isn't supported. Can anyone tell me what the interface looks for?
SI looks for the autocad key registry, in order for this to work, you would need to hack your registry and enter a key for mechanical, which we do not have and we do not support. If you call support and no one picks up, please leave a message and someone will return your call as soon as possible. Also, you can send an email to http://www.d-tools.com/support/submit-an-issue.html.
