Can you prepare a .dwg to import into visio with autocad lite?

YES!


LT is a very good investment so that you can open .dwg files, strip away layers and other remnants architects offices may leave in a drawing.

Having the abilty to save back the file to R14 to eliminate XREFS enabling easy import to VISIO is a huge benefit - without at least LT, many D-Tools users volley the .dwg file back and forth to the architect to get the files just right.

Many .dwg projects are 1 file with each floor and even elevations in it.

Again being able to open the file in LT, stript the drawing down to 1 floorplan and save as, so you can repeat the process for each floor is again a HUGE time saver.
