Sync Product Data Remotely VPN - D-Tools Forum

Our company is having a serious problem syncing product data from remote locations. We can login to our VPN Server, Work online in D-Tools, Create and edit projects etc... We cannot sync product data from the server. (We can do this in the office)
This is the error were getting:
"We cannot connect to your SQL database on the server. Please check if your SQL service is running on the server."

The service is running.
Is this even possible remotely?
Any suggestions?

You may want to check your DNS setting on your VPN. This message is referencing an issue that you cannot translate the SQL Name posted in the D-Tools INI to the actual fully qualifying Name.

Try, while connected through the VPN, open your Network to locate that SQL Server. If you cannot then it is this issue, if you can then there maybe something else causeing this issue.

Another option is to change the INI file to locate the SQL by its Fully Qualified Name - \\{ServerName}\{SQLInstanceName} or \\{IPAddress}\{SQLInstanceName}
