Default MMPD Navigator Bar vs Tools Menu

Recently I noticed that when I select Open Manage My Product Data via the Navigator Bar Windows wants to configure 5.5 - and won't let me cancel out. Meanwhile if we go to the Tools menu and select MMPD about 50% of the time this does not happen. Happens on all computers. Am I missing something? What is the reason for this?

This re-config of SI5 is an odd bug and we have yet to track down the exact cause. Thanks for the details of when you are experiencing this, I will relay this to our dev team. We sometimes see this error when a user is logged in under a different Windows profile than the one where SI5 was installed, but not always. That does not sound like the case here since all of your machines are experiencing this. If you are on SP2 (build 597), you can try the following. Navigate out to the following folder and double-click the Si5-Client.msi file and let the SI5 Client re-configure: C:\Documents and Settings\senos\Application Data\D-Tools, Inc\System Integrator 5.5\5.5.597.0\install

Hopefully that will resolve the issue. If not, a full re-installation of the SI5 Client may be needed. Please contact Support if you need assistance with this.
