ekalpakoff is on a distinguished road
Default Product sorting
In a project, I open the add product window and select a category, then click the cost tab to sort by cost and yes it is sorting the products but not by cost, it is sorting by digit so $100 products are grouped with $1000 products.

EX:

$120
$121.56
$1215.01
$128.71
etc...
