2) check OFE in PDM
3)Right click > Refresh from master table

what i would expect:
OFE goes away

what happens instead:
OFE stays, unchecking OFE sets product to have "OFE pricing".

This is "By Design" - the "OFE" setting does not update from master.

Then the weird part, to me, is that refreshing from master puts the cost/price back to default in the PDM. This is inconsistent with what you see when right-click > editing the product, which shows a $0 cost/price. The PDM should show the $0 cost/price when refreshing an OFE item from master.

my previous comment, "unchecking OFE sets product to have "OFE pricing", does not seem to occur in SP2.

You are right. This should not update on the PDM. Logged as bug # 6770.
However the Install Price is correct and does not take the Unit Price into account.
