OFE does not duplicate - D-Tools Forum

1. Add product to project
2. Designate product as OFE
3. Duplicate the product

What i would expect to happen:
duplicated items have OFE status with $0 price/cost

what happens instead:
duplicate items are not marked as OFE but they have a $0 price/cost

more free gear for the client

I just used this feature yesterday and I had no issues, duplicate products were $0 and the checkmark for OFE was checked

I find the whole OFE thing doesn't work that well and is confusing for client when looking at reports. So I have a manufacture called "Client Supplied" and this works very well for me.

agreed, we use a manufacturer "OFE" or modify the model number in project

seems to happen pretty consistently for me. is there something different you are doing to add the product? you are duplicating in SI Text?

Good catch - it does not duplicate now. This is being fixed in the next SP as well.

I swear it worked the other day, but when I just tried it I got the same results that you did - $0 product but no OFE

OFE duplicates correctly in SP2.
