Default D-tools not opening

Just wanted to post this on the forum as I've already had some help with D Support and waiting a second opinion on this issue. Here goes nothing! Maybe someone else has run into this:

We've been running D-Tools for quite some time now (YEARS!) without too many issues. On Friday, before quiting time, I checked in all projects, closed D-tools, and signed off the computer. Fast forward to Monday morning.

Monday morning, I log on the machine, click on the Si5 link and wait for the log in window to appear.. And I wait, and wait.. Nothing. No window comes up. I click again, nothing. I open task manager, Systemintegrator.exe is running under processes, but not the applications tab. This seemed odd.. so I ended the process, and restarted. I did this a few times.

Finally called and emailed tech support. We ran through the same notions as above.. and even took it to the next level. D-Tools projects were backed up, and we proceeded with removing D-Tools for a fresh install (even deleting registry items).

So we removed everything pertaining to D-Tools.. go to launch Si5..
STILL NOTHING! The Systemintegrator.exe runs in the process tab, but not applications tab..

How odd is this??! I am hoping someone has seen this before and/or knows how to fix it

Just wanted to add a few things: From Friday to Monday, there were no Windows Updates installed, nor any updates to any software whatsoever. OS is Windows XP...

Can you rename to the System Integrator 5.config file in the “C:\Documents and Settings\CURRENTUSER\Application Data\D-tools\SI5” folder to any other name and then restart Navigator. Rename this file after making sure Naivgator is not in the running processes and then restart Navigator.

This is just a hunch feeling – renaming this file will cause no problem. It is supposed to open Navigator at the same point where it was last – this may have got messed up and it will open at default position.

Good luck.

Check in the “C:\Documents and Settings\CURRENTUSER\Application Data\D-tools\SI5” - folder here CurrentUser is the user you have logged into Windows as.

I am logged in as Administrator.. and that folder is empty. I did a gotoassist with Dax last night.. he suspects that it is malware or an OS issue.. I ran Spybot last night and am running adaware this morning..

Ran AVG on monday, didn't find anything.. Spybot found a couple of advertising items but still didn't fix my problem after reinstall of DTools.

I just don't understand how everything worked fine Friday, and come Monday this happens.

FOLLOW UP : spent most of the day backing up everything, then formatting C: and performing a fresh install of XP..

Reinstalled D-tools.. and works again!

Does anyone have any idea on how the files in the \Administrator\App Data\D-Tools\ could have disappeared over the weekend?

Was the computer hacked?
D-tools was the only program affected over the weekend.
