Default Products with accessories

Dear all, I'm having problems when adding products with accessories.
When I add a product to muy project, a product with accessories, I select (check) which accessories add or not, but after confirming, in the project are inserted all the accessories in the list, even not selected ones.

What can I do?

Which version are you using, 5.5? I just opened a project in 5.5 and added a product, unselected my accessories and they were not added along with the product. I wonder if perhaps there is something wrong with the installation? Is this happening on just one project or all projects you're working with? It may be prudent to contact Support

I am wondering if perhaps you have accessories setup as 'default' type accessories that get added to the project automatically? These would not show up in the prompt window however, they just get added directly to the project.

Background on accessory types - There are 3 'types' of accessory behaviors:

Prompt: For a prompt accessory, only check off the prompt box (not recommend). These accessories will show up in the prompt window but will be un-checked to start with. In order to add them you must check the include box. Prompt accessories are best used for options that may not get used very often but you want to be reminded that the option is there. TV Mount options is a good example.

Recommend: For a recommend accessory, check off BOTH the prompt box AND the recommend box. These accessories will show up in the prompt window and will have the Include box pre-selected. No further action other than clicking OK is needed to add them to the project. Recommend accessories are best used for options that get used most of the time, but not necessarily all of the time.

Default: You can either leave the recommend box checked (but not prompt) or un-check both boxes. These accessories will automatically get added to your project, without a prompt. Best used for those accessories which ALWAYS get added to the job.

Thank You Ryan.
I'm running SI 5.5.
the project was created with 5.2, and now I'm updating it.
I opened other two old projects (both created with 5.2), and in these project I'm not prompted to check accessories (I tried to insert the same product), and when inserted, after double click, It has no accessories. I'm getting confused.. Found 1! now, the same product in MMPd has lost its accessories!!! Found 2: I inserted the product without accessories, updated from the text interface the price, and sync back with MMPD!!! My mistake...

The problem, with the first project, is that, when I insert a product (a Crestron TPS-6LB downloaded from SI server), I get prompted to select accessories: if i choose only one (or the ones I need), SI 5.5 inserts all the accessories, not only the one selected.
In the MMPD. all the accessories have both Prompt and Recommend checked. Do you think this should be the problem?

Thank You.

It sounds like you are doing the right thing when adding the accessories for the Crestron touchpanel. I am not sure why it would behave the way that it is. I haven't seen that on mine. very strange.

If they are all setup as 'Recommend' accessories in MMPD, it should not be adding them automatically into the project unless Crestron worked out some sort of a deal to get more of their products sold just kidding.

I would contact Support and see if they have heard of this scenario occurring with any other users!

The other situation - syncing a product from the project back to the Master database can be troublesome if you are not careful - it overwrites the master database with any changes that were made inside the project - this can be a good thing and sometimes a bad thing as you found out!
