Wire Length =0 not allowed
I ran into this as well and what I found was that projects in 5.5 cannot have any wire items in them with a length =0 (Thanks Support). The reports do exactly what you describe when this is true in your project.
Open your project, in the data matrix filter for your wire items, display the column = 'Wire Length' and make sure there are no wires =0.
If there are items like this, set them to an appropriate length, save and re-run your report.
That ought to fix your issue!
