Default autoCad blocks

This happens in an Elevation drawing using autoCad 08, but my guess is that it will happen in others as well.

1. add product to drawing/project
2. delete product from drawing
3. purge block from drawing
4. try to add product back to drawing

what i would expect to happen: dtools grabs block from the visualization file and inserts it back into the drawing

What actually happens: block doesn't show up, drawings starts acting weird, have trouble inserting other blocks, sometimes autoCad crashes, a general sense of non-happiness overcomes me....

I followed the steps, but did not happen as your result.

1. Add product to drawing/project
2. Delete product from drawing
3. Purge block from drawing
4. Add the same product back onto drawing page

The result was as expected: D-tools block is inserted onto the drawing page (and it works fine).

Has someone tried this already?

Richards,

I was able to replicate this today. Logged as bug #6757.

The workaround is if you purge blocks and intend to reuse the same block again in the same session of AutoCAD you should
1. Purge Blocks
2. Save drawing
3. Close autocad
4. Restart AutoCAD
5. You can drop same block now with no problem.

Our .Net code fails when attempting to add a block which is purged - we are reviewing a code fix for this.
