Default Setup issues and date format bugs

We have a long time problem that has been unresolved since we upgraded to Si 5.2. Although all users currently are set up as admins none of us are able to alter the following:

Application settings tab:
- Company Information
- Project
- Tax

Application Project settings tab:
- Phases

Earlier we thought this was because we were running LANsync on an existing MS SQL-server, but before upgrading to Si 5.5 we got a dedicated server for D-tools only. Still the same problem.

Also, I found that I can use most of the functions in Si5.5 with european time and date format, but DataExchange reports an error when using that format. If I reset to English (US) time and date format, DataExchange works fine.

Default is edit active?

1) the Setup screen has an Edit button that allows these fields to be edited. Is this button active when you go to setup? If so, can you edit once you click 'Edit'?

2) if the answer to question 1 is no:
a. are you able to edit any fields in the Setup tab, or all they all restricted?
b. can you take a screen shot of the permissions associated with your user group? this will help diagnosing the issue.

We can edit all other fields than the ones listed. That is the strange thing about this.

Default check restrict permissions

OK, problem solved. You need to remove these four "permissions" from your group:

* Restrict Cost Factors
* Restrict Accounting Information
* Restrict Cost
* Restrict Price

These are actually negative permissions, in that if you have them, they restrict your ability to edit certain fields.

A fully enabled user will have these four permissions on the left side of the permissions window "Permissions", and all other permissions on the right "Group Permissions" - see image below.

P.S. We are aware that this is confusing and will correct in our next major version.
