NZ Tax (GST) calculation not correct
Has anyone had an issue with the way SI5 calculates tax for New Zealand?
Under Setup and Application Settings, I have the Tax Code set to New Zealand and the sales tax box is displaying 12.5% which is the correct tax %. In NZ GST is calculated on both equipment and labour at the same rate.
But when I run my proposals the GST (tax) calculation is incorrect for example
Proposal #1 prints as follows:
Equipment: $17,753.39
Equipment Adjustment: $ 621.41
Misc Parts: $ 621.41
Labour: $ 3703.79
GST: $ 2633.79 (Wrong and should be $2837.50)
Grand Total: $25 333.79 (not correct should be $25537.50)
Looks like it’s using a decimal of 0.1160259 instead of 0.125
Proposal #2 prints as follows:
Equipment: $2897.19
Equipment Adjustment: $ 57.98
Misc Parts: $ 57.98
Labour: $1505.79
GST: $376.64 (Wrong and should be $564.74)
Grand Total: $4895.58 (not correct should be $5083.11)
Looks like it’s using a decimal of 0.0833648 instead of 0.125
Why is it using different deccimal each time?
I have been through each of the products to check if they have the tax box ticked and they all have.
What am I doing wrong? Is there away to check the calculations in the
report settings or something?
Any input is appreciated.
