Thumbs down Licence expired

We needed to move data around on our server and as a result "confused" the DToolsCache as following the re-organisation our SI5 client could not locate the LanSync service.

In the end we resorted to re-installing the Server components on the sever. All sorted....well I thought so...

Now the SI5 client won't log -in (despite us logging in after the re-install!) and states "The Licence has expired. Please contact Customer Support for Assistance"

Why does this ALWAYS happen when we really need to use? I do not recall a time when we have simply opened up D-Tools and it has worked withoug doing something

Any ideas....

I had a similar error a few weeks ago while my network / internet was down. I believe the program occasionally logs into D-tools server to make sure you have an active license.

Once my internet was back up, the error when away.

Of course there is this post with similiar issue.

There is a serious problem with the registraion of the software.

We now have 2 of our 4 machines not registering.

This problem comes and goes and is very difficult to manage.

Seems only support can fix it.

HELP!

In order to resolve this ourselves, I'm planning on un-installing the D-Toosl client software and re-installing.

Does anyone know if htis will also uninstall the existing Product and Project databases?

Uninstalling the server software will not remove the databases or project files. However, before you do that, I would suggest you contact support to see if they can help get you back up and running.

Hey Mate!

This will not fix the problem.

I have lost count of the number of times I have uninstalled and reinstalled SI5.

Kevin

I had to remove both the Client installation and the Installation application. Then install SI5, check for updates then install SI5.1. Seems to working...for now.... but then again the wind is blowing in the right direction here in the UK at the moment

Kevin

OK, I concede

It worked fine last night after the uninstall and re-install then update but today...

Same issue "Licence expired".

Unlike you we only have one client... so...... we're stuffed...until Support support
