Default CAUTION! Visio lost link to datamatrix

Help!

Neck deep in a LARGE project, I inadvertantly double-clicked on the title frame of my drawing in Visio on the drawing page.

This action opened the Title Frame shape in its own Visio window.

Now the datamatrix thinks it belongs to this new Visio FILE? DRAWING? SHAPE? PAGE? not really sure what to call it.

So my in-progress (3 days worth) Visio documents have no connection to the items in the datamatrix or .dtl file which is now 19 mg.

This is a bummer.

When I open the Visio file from the project lookup, I get the orginal drawing, and a second Visio window with the Title Frame shape in it which has nested in it, the datamatrix.

CAUTION!

If I did this on accident, it can happen to anyone, its not good and must be a bug.

Support on the way!

Kevin, I assume you've closed the title frame window that opened? Saved the project, closed it, and reopened it? And it still shows up?

I did what Graham said… CAUTION! Visio lost link to datamatrix closed the window and saved the file.

It's all fixed.

Now I swear I saved the file when prompted to do so originally, but in reliving this, I guess I saved with the shape window still open.

Closing that shape window and seeing my enormous nested datamatrix disappear was frightening, so I did not want to save the changes after doing that.

This all started because I wanted to see why the Creation and Printed Dates in the Title Frame are screwed up 5/5/2004, I thought this was fixed!

Does SP3 not install new stencils to replace the defective Smart Title Frame

Thanks Graham...you sand bagging?
