Angry Schematic Wiring Connections

Is anyone else having problems with wiring in schematics. I cannot manually get wires to connect to the connection points. It will only allow me to do this with the wire wizard. The problem with using wire wizard is it is connecting the wrong terminals (no matter what I tell it to do). This is really frustruating!!!

I have not seen this before. Did you change your Visio settings for Snap & Glue? To check, select Tools->Snap & Glue. Both Snap and Glue should be selected.

OK....that solved half of the problem. The strange thing about that is I never changed that setting. The next problem is the wire wizard. It is not making the connection I tell it to. Instead it randomly decides to connect to other inputs on the shape. Any ideas??

Very odd indeed. I know I like to change settings on my co-workers computers just to mess with them...you may have to set a trap. I have never had a connection made through Wire Wizard choose a random I/O when the wire is dropped. I would suggest calling Technical Support so they can connect to you and see what is going on with Wire Wizard. 866.386.6571 x 2 or http://www.d-tools.com/support/submit-an-issue.html

Already on it. Hopefully hear back from them sometime soon. Thank you for the initial suggestion.

Post Solution/explanation

After working with Seth at Tech Support, we have figured out why this happens with wire wizard. If you change the order of the input/output connections in the specifications tab of an item that has already been placed on the drawing, the wire wizard will still try to make a connection to the input/output location before the item was changed. The only way to currently correct this issue is to delete the equipment from the drawing and then place it back on the drawing. The wire wizard will now make the correct connections. Hope this helps anyone that gets stuck.

When I Replace Product in a Visio schematic the wires disconnect from the product that is replaced. At the least they should connect to the same position on the new product.

It would be great if they connected to the I/O that matches the old product. For example; replace the surround receiver and the Component video wire from the DVD player would go to the DVD-YBR-RCA input on the new receiver, same named I/O as the old receiver.
