SI5 will not open projects in TEXT - D-Tools Forum

Projects will not open in TEXT, uless I add a visio file, then open in Visio. PITA!

This bug has come and gone, currently running SP2.

What is the status of this?

Anyone else seen this?

Isn't this the bug that you have to go and find a .dtl file and right click on it and tell it to "open with" Dtools SI5 and its fixed?

Don't know.

I tried that before posting and it does not work either.

Thank you RickW, the article fixed my associations.
However the next time I opened a text project in SI4 the associations changed back to the SI4 values. Once I transition to SI5 this won't matter, but during this transition it is annoying.
Just another item to mention to the bug fixers.

Just as an FYI, this problem is ongoing. I have SI4 on my computer and SI5 would not open projects in Text. I reassociated the file types and this works, until you open SI4, and then the problem arises again...

I have the same problem. I've opened projects I copied over from 4.5, but I just created a new project and it won't open in text.

This is solved by selecting the 5.5 dtl file and right click > open with dtools si5 text.exe
