Default Service Pack 2

I installed SP2 yesterday. Before that I was functioning fine. I've tried the Navigatior thread since that is where the problem has been, the forum members tried, but I'm still having issues, with new ones added now.

1. Navigator will not open. It tries but then gives up and asks if I want to send a report.

If the Navigator opens:

1. Project list will not populate unless I create a new project or import an already created SI5 project.
2. Once I get a project to load it won't open. I click the option to open a dtl in text and it tries to open in Visio. I can create a new Visio file but it doesn't sync up with d-tools or the dtl file.
3. I can open a dtl file in text IF I go directly to the file location, right click the file, and open with SI5. I have no idea if I can open a newly created dtl file this way.

I've done everything I can think of, and after 6 years of using d-tools my problem doesn't seem to be something just being over looked. I even uninstalled and re-installed SI5 to get rid of the SP2 installation.

I've sent an email to support and haven't heard a thing. I'm now out 2 days of work. Can someone please contact me.

I had a similar problem today and spent an hour on the phone with Tech Support (Michael - he was great) getting it fixed. He basically had to go into my reports folder: C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\D-Tools\SI5\Reports and fix the xml file ReportData. Somehow, the close statements at the end of the xml had been lost and D-tools choked trying to open it. Michael was able to figure out how to fix the file and he got me back up and running. Prior to that, I tried to uninstall and reinstall the d-tools desktop and that did not work.

Sounds like we had the same problem.

We are having the same problem - and it's really hurting us because now we can't use Quicklinks either.
We've sent multiple emails to DTools support on this but haven't received any response.
We've also tried the uninstall/re-install option. It's annoying that SP1 is no longer an option since we know that SI5 + SP1 worked.
For gold-support paying customers, this is frustrating.

Is fixing the XML report file something I can do. I also have not heard back from support , very frustrating.
