Default Show Terminal Top to Bottom

I am confused by the "Show Terminals Top to Bottom" option. Is there a way to make this the default? When I add I/O data to an item in a specific order I would expect the data to show up on a schematic shape the same way, not inverted.

Is there someone out in the D-Tools world who thinks it should work the other way?

My feeling is that if the default is set to be "Show Terminals Bottom to Top" then this is a bug. It should be the other way.

Let me know if I am missing something...

Agreed. Even when I select the option for top to bottom, save it in the database, when I later add the product to a drawing, it will be inverted and when I go to the the specs, the check box is unchecked.

Default What Check box?

I don't see any check box except in the right-click menu of the schematic shape.

We all agree with you. It is on the list of improvements.

Default Tricky to implement

What about how a "fix" will affect existing data. Right now we have been importing our data in reverse order so we don't have to check the "Show Terminals Top to Bottom" checkbox. A fix might put our data in the "wrong" order again...

That is a very good point! We will need to account for that. I will forward to development.

Also, you only need to select the Order once per schematic page. See
D-Tools | Wiring | Options

I also only see the "Invert" option randomly throughout the database. Is there something in the category or data that is triggering this check box option?
