It's said that SI4 and SI5 can run side by side with no problems. What is a problem I think, is Visio 2007 with Visio 2003 also installed and D-Tools. I couldn't get things to behave well and because SI5 was giving me grief I had to keep running SI4. I chose to go with Visio 2003 instead of 2007. It seemed that SI5 would work fine with Visio 2003. However I just found out that all my work I was doing in Visio was just lost. I was saving the drawing no problem. Next time I reopened the drawing everything was gone. This is an imported project from SI4.
Although we do not officially support Visio 2007 with SI4, we have run Visio 2007 with both SI4 and SI5 without issues. However, running both Visio 2003 and 2007 can create issues. Thanks, Brad
