The NetZoom Shapes are great for Line Drawings as they are consistent and for large projects yield smaller file sizes than line drawings that use JPGs.
Component ID loss on Rack Elevations is a bummer, but not a big deal if you are not putting together projects with several ocurrences of identical devices.
I also know of a company that is using NetZoom shapes for schematic pages and have discontinued populating the I/O tables for their database.
This approach 'breaks' the wiring connection report from D-Tools, but the savings on data maintenance and the realsim of the schematics is justified according to the integrator that is using this practice.
