Not sure, hard to test on all the CAD products out there. However I just tested Visio 2007 for CAD compatibility and it takes care of almost all these issues I mentioned in the article. But you still have to have a DWG file in the 2002 or below format so you still need to convert some files and cleaning them up is always a good idea.
