The lack of activity in this forum makes me wonder if many are using the orders & scheduling functionality? I'm going to guess that most are not for two reasons, one is that everyone was already using something else (Outlook/Exhange, NetSuite, whatever) and two is that D-Tools hasn't adequately promoted these new features, which are heads and tails above previous versions.

The MAIN reason I am not using any of the project management features is because they only work in a perfect world. And it is fairly cumbersome to assign 500 items to a resource and to even have the tech properly operate on them.
I really do like these features and I think it is one of the best ways to evolve project management. Also improves data and provides pretty good job costing feedback.
If any company out there can assign a work order to a technician to run a prewire, have the exact materials ordered and on time, have the project site be ready to work in, the technician follows precisely to the orders, fills them out and the feedback data is entered by a PM. LET ME KNOW . . . . I'll send you my resume.
