Seth just popped in and set a new GUID in SQL on my server for one project that was causing the problem. As soon as this was done everything came back to life.

I also just finished transferring about 670MB of all my data via ftp for them to geek out on and figure out how the project GUID got fouled up in the first place. I hope this will help write a patch that looks for this glitch and addresses it during the update.

Good news is that it shouldn't require much time to figure out for other folks who run into this now that the problem is known.
